The Beginning - Olfactory Neuroblastoma Cancer

This cancer was confirmed on 4/7/26
The grade is 3 out of a scale of 4 (this is a high grade tumor)
Mitotic index: 28/2 mm2

It started as a stuffed up sinus in the fall of 2025. She could not clear her left sinus. It sounded stuffed up but nothing came out when she blew her nose. After several doctor visits trying different allergy medicines, Tinna went to a ENT(ear, nose, and throat) Doctor.

Several X-Rays were done, followed by an out patient surgery on 3/23/26 to remove polyps, what was seen in the X-rays. Once the ENT Doctor was inside the sinus he discovered something that was not a typical polyp. The ENT Dr was able to clean things up and drain the sinus during this surgery. This gave major relief to her sinus.

A biopsy was taken and sent in at this time. The result came back positive for cancer. It was additionally checked to confirm.

Olfactory neuroblastoma affects only about 1 person per 2.5 million each year.
